About me

Hello, my name is Caleb. I am currently a PhD researcher at Brandeis University, expecting to graduate in July 2020.

I work on various problems in nonequilibrium statistical mechanics and mathematical physics. My research style is to draw on the synergy of physical intuition, numerical simulations, and rigorous mathematics to elucidate the mathematical structures underlying emergent phenomena.

Science communication is important to me, as are open-source and open-access initiatives. I view access to high-quality knowledge as paramount for empowering individuals across the globe. In this spirit, I have recently become involved in editing Wikipedia. (See my user profile and contributions here.)

See my "Personal Projects" page for more information about my side interests and hobbies.
